John 10:28-29 (NLT)
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,
29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.1 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT)
3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation,
4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.
One of the most challenging things for the mind, body, and emotions is having needed rest disrupted. Our nervous system is designed around rhythms of rest, usually during the night, and most people require several hours of uninterrupted sleep to recover fully. When deep sleep is suddenly interrupted, not only is rest compromised, but frustration often follows toward whatever caused the disturbance. The more secure our rest is, the more peace we experience, and the more restored and prepared we are to be productive and fruitful.
In the same way, the rest we enter into through faith in Christ is secured against every threat of disruption. As long as our focus remains on Him, our life in Him becomes a place of safety and stability, untouched by the turmoil around us. The same grace and mercy that brought us into this rest are the very things that keep us there. Our rest in Christ is not fragile or temporary—it is guarded by His faithfulness.
"As I behold His glory in this place He's made for me at His side, what He is planning and doing becomes my example and guidance. Whatever He is up to is what I will partner with and participate in for His glory.”
John 5:19, 15:5
"I praise God for His great mercy and comfort and that He empowers us to provide that same mercy and comfort to others."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
"I am delivered from the power of darkness and taken into the kingdom of love where I am redeemed and forgiven."
Colossians 1:13-14
"As Jesus goes before me, I follow Him because I know His voice. I will run from the voice of a stranger."
John 10:4-5
"I am not moved by what I feel or see, but I am only moved by the Word of God that says I am whole and complete in Christ."
2 Corinthians 5:7, Acts 20:24
"With the Lord as my Shepherd, I lack for nothing as I follow His voice in every area of life."
Psalm 23:1
