Day 15 - Victory Sound

Psalms 118:15-16 (NLT)
15 Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!
16 The strong right arm of the LORD is raised in triumph. The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!

2 Chronicles 20:21-22 (NLT)
21 After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the LORD and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the LORD; his faithful love endures forever!”
22 At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.

When a competition ends in victory, a great weight of tension and anxiety is immediately lifted. Athletes may have been pushing with everything they had until the final second, but once the buzzer sounds and their score is higher, striving stops. What follows is pure rejoicing and celebration. They enter into deep rest because there is nothing left to prove and nothing left to fight for.

Because of this, you can tell who won even without seeing the scoreboard. The sound coming from the victorious team tells the story. Only someone who does not yet realize they have won would still look defeated or discouraged. Once victory is known, all efforts to “try to win” come to an end. It’s already settled.

In the same way, you can recognize those who are fully convinced of the victory Christ has already won for them. When this revelation takes hold, people stop striving in their own strength and stop trying to persuade God to grant a victory that has already been secured. Rest is visible on their faces, but even more, it is heard in their voices.

Those who are walking in their redemption live and sound like the battle is behind them, not ahead of them. Jesus has already triumphed over sin, lack, sickness, and every form of defeat. To be in Him is to live from rest, not from striving—resting in a victory that does not need to be earned again.

No more gloomy sounds of discouragement.
Only the sound of victory.
